TJ Dillashaw may have needed over four rounds to do it, but the bantamweight champ defended the title tonight at UFC 177, by stopping Joe Soto in round five.

Soto was a last minute replacement for former champ Renan Barao, who was pulled from the main event on Friday, after suffering medical issues while cutting weight. Soto was originally scheduled to make his Octagon debut versus Anthony Birchak.

The bantamweight ended up taking Dillashaw into round five, but was taken out with head kick and follow up punches from the champ.

Here are the results from UFC 177, which was hosted by Sacramento’s Sleep Train Arena.

T.J. Dillashaw def. Joe Soto via KO (kick and punches) R5, 2:20

Tony Ferguson def. Danny Castillo via split decision

Bethe Correia def. Shayna Baszler via TKO (punches) R2, 1:56

Carlos Diego Ferreira def. Ramsey Nijem via TKO (punches) R2, 1:53

Yancy Medeiros def. Damon Jackson via submission (reverse guillotine choke) R2, 1:54

Derek Brunson def. Lorenz Larkin via unanimous decision

Anthony Hamilton def. Ruan Potts via TKO (punches) R2, 4:17
