Nick Diaz has missed media obligations in the past, and it looks like the controversial fighter has done so again, just days before he’s booked to fight Anderson Silva at UFC 183.

According to multiple reports, Diaz did not show up for an open workout session today in Las Vegas, and the promotion has also confirmed that the veteran fighter missed his flight to the Nevada city. The reports come not long after an “Embedded” video segment for UFC 183, seemed to indicate that Diaz had missed his flight.

Saturday’s bout will mark the first time Diaz has fought since March, 2013, when he was decisioned by now former welterweight champ, Georges St-Pierre.

The UFC still maintains that the January 31st, Silva-Diaz fight will move ahead as scheduled.
