While his official weight will be recorded later today, Henry Cejudo is reporting that his weight cut is going extremely well, as he prepares to make his UFC flyweight debut tomorrow night.

Cejudo is booked to face Chris Cariaso at UFC 185, after the Olympic Gold Medalist wrestler decisioned Dustin Kimura at UFC on FOX 13 in December. Cejudo competed at bantamweight in that fight, since last summer at UFC 177, he couldn’t make 125 and was pulled from the event.

Well, recently Cejudo spoke to UFC.com, and while discussing his weight the 7-0 fighter relayed:

“I think this is the best I’ve ever felt trying to make weight,” Cejudo said. “I’ve been on this diet for quite some time, and I’m just ripped. I got down to 131 yesterday, no plastics, nothing. I’m excited to put the plastics on tonight and see how much I can get off.

“The last time I overdid it. I lost like 16 (pounds) in like an hour and 45 minutes. I can’t do that no more. I can’t do it the wrestler way no more. I got to have a nutritionist and talk to him twice a day. I have to check my weight every so often.”

Cariaso (17-6), meanwhile, is competing for the first time since he was submitted by flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson in September.

UFC 185 will take place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.
