UFC 188: Chico Camus is “Excited to Fight Probably The Most Talented Guy I’ve Ever Fought”

By FCF Staff

Chico Camus may understand why Henry Cejudo has a ton of hype behind him, but the vet believes the flyweight’s in for his toughest test yet at UFC 188.

Tonight, Camus will battle the former Olympic Gold Medal wrestler, who has gone 8-0 after transitioning into MMA. Since Cejudo joined the UFC last year, “The Messenger” has worked his way to clear cut, decision wins over Dustim Kimura and Chris Cariaso.

Camus recently spoke to UFC.com about tonight’s bout, and while doing so, the “King” stated the following:

“I’m excited to fight probably the most talented guy I’ve ever fought in my life and just test his skills,” Camus said. “I don’t think he’s really had a fight yet other than coming in and beating people up. He’s 8-0 and he hasn’t been tested at all. And he’s going against a guy who’s been tested numerous times, whether it was inside the cage or outside the cage, and I’m willing and ready to give him a taste of the stuff that I’ve been through, and to see how he reacts when he’s put in these stressful positions.”

The Roufusport fighter is coming off a split decision win over Brad Pickett, in what marked his move to 125. Camus has gone 2-2, with 1 no contest, in his last 5 bouts.

UFC 188 will be hosted by the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City.

In the main event, heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez will take on interim champion, Fabricio Werdum.
