The line-up for UFC 189 continues to build, as today the promotion announced that bantamweight Cody Garbrandt will take on Henry Briones at the upcoming card. The July 11th event will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Garbrandt (6-0) is coming off a memorable, Octagon debut, as the Team Alpha Male stopped Marcus Brimage late in the third round at UFC 182.

Briones (16-4-1), meanwhile, made his UFC debut in November and tapped out Guido Cannetti with a second round, rear-naked-choke. The bout was UFC 180’s “Fight of the Night.”

UFC 189 will be headlined by a featherweight bout between champion Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor. The card will also feature welterweight champ Robbie Lawler taking on Rory MacDonald.
