Demetrious Johnson

During tonight’s UFC Fight Night 71 broadcast, the promotion has announced that flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson will battle John Dodson for a second time, on September 5th.

The bout will be part of UFC 191, which will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Johnson (22-2-1) and Dodson (17-6) met for the first time in January, 2013, and the champion won the bout via unanimous decision.

Since then, Johnson has won five straight fights, and most recently, he submitted Kyoji Horiguchi in April.

Dodson, meanwhile, has won three in a row since met Johnson, and is coming off a decision win over Zach Makovsky.
