UFC 194: Jose Aldo Repeats Claim That Conor McGregor Tried Shaking His Hand on TUF 22 Set

In September, Jose Aldo said that Conor McGregor tried shaking his hand when he showed up on the set of TUF 22, and the featherweight champ has repeated that claim.

Since McGregor arrived in the UFC, the outspoken fighter has repeatedly criticized Aldo, particularly since the two were booked to fight at UFC 189. That fight fell through, however, after Aldo incurred a rib injury shortly before the July 11th event.

Now the two are scheduled to fight on December 12th, and McGregor has continued his verbal attacks on the renowned fighter. Several weeks ago, however, Aldo claimed that a different McGregor greeted him on the TUF set.

Recently the Brazilian star spoke with Combate, and Aldo had this to say about McGregor (translation via Bloody Elbow.com):

“He likes to taunt. He sees a camera and then he puts on a little show. When I appeared by surprise in the TUF house, he reached his hand out to shake mine and I thought we were going to fight right there. He complained to Dana (White) and Lorenzo (Fertitta). He said he was set up. “

After Aldo’s withdrawal, McGregor stopped Chad Mendes at UFC 189 to become the promotion’s interim featherweight champ.

UFC 194 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
