Dana White started the UFC 200 press conference by saying Nate Diaz still wants to compete on July 9th, and that they’re working on a new opponent, but it sounds like the latter isn’t interested.

Diaz was scheduled to rematch McGregor at the upcoming event, until the featherweight champ informed the UFC he wasn’t going to attend all the promotional appearances for it. As a result, the UFC pulled McGregor from UFC 200, and it remains to be seen when the star will fight again.

When Diaz was asked to comment on the situation at the special presser, the outspoken fighter said this (quote via MMA Fighting.com):

“I didn’t ask for that fight, but he asked for it and he wanted it,” Diaz said. “If that ain’t gonna happen, I’m going on vacation.”

White added later in the press conference that they have yet to talk to Diaz about other options for the July 9th card. Diaz agreed to face McGregor on short notice in March, and he submitted the latter in the welterweight contest.
