UFC 202: Dana White Says Nate Diaz – Conor McGregor III Not Next
By FCF Staff
Both Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz called for a third fight between them, following their epic battle last night at UFC 202, but Dana White says the bout won’t come next.
McGregor was awarded a majority decision win, and immediately after, he said he wants a third fight with Diaz, but at 155 pounds. Diaz also relayed he wants a third fight, and reported he was dealing with an injury prior to the rematch.
White appeared on the post-fight, FOX Sports 1 show, and had this to say about a trilogy (quote via FOX Sports 1 press release):
“We’re not doing this a third time, right now. Conor’s going to defend his title or give it up. I have no idea what’s next for Nate.”
Jose Aldo won the interim 145 title in July to line-up a second bout with the reigning champ, McGregor.
