UFC 203: CM Punk Among Card’s Highest Earners Following MMA Debut
By FCF Staff
CM Punk was one of pro-wrestling’s biggest names prior to his UFC signing, and that fact is clearly demonstrated in how much money he earned for his MMA debut.
Punk, or Phil Brooks, was reportedly paid $500,000 for his bout at UFC 203 on Saturday night, which saw him quickly submitted by Mickey Gall. The latter earned $30,000 for the fight (according to figures that the Ohio Commission disclosed to MMA Junkie.com).
The card’s highest earner was Alistair Overeem, who made $800,000 for his KO loss to Stipe Miocic. The heavyweight champ made $600K for his first title defense.
