UFC 204: Dan Henderson Says It’s “More Than Likely” he Would Deliver Second, Follow up Shot on Michael Bisping

Footage of the follow up punch Dan Henderson utilized to punish Michael Bisping in 2009 has been repeatedly shown throughout the MMA world, and the legend says he’ll likely deliver a similar shot, if the opportunity arises.

Henderson has been granted the opportunity to score a second win over Michael Bisping at UFC 204, which will take place on October 8th. When they battled for the first time at UFC 100, Henderson floored Bisping with a vicious right hand, and then proceeded to land another, booming shot from above.

Many Henderson supporters have no issue with the American’s decision to hit the fallen Bisping, as the bout hadn’t been officially called. Others, however, have argued that the blow was unnecessary, since Bisping was already out before he hit the deck.

Well, recently the 46 year-old star spoke with Champions.co, and when Henderson was asked if he’d plant another, follow up shot on Bisping, he stated (quote via MMA Junkie.com):

“More than likely”

Henderson, however, also noted:

“I did it before I fought him, against Wanderlei (Silva) and maybe one or two other guys, just to make sure they’re done,” Henderson said. “The quickest way I know to get from point A to point B is to jump on them, you know? I’ll absolutely finish up with a punch or two if I knock him down to make sure that the fight’s over.”

UFC 204 will take place in Manchester, England.
