UFC 204: Dana White Liked Seeing a “Fired Up” Gegard Mousasi
By FCF Staff
A normally soft spoken and reserved Gegard Mousasi showed some emotion during and after his win over Vitor Belfort last night, and Dana White enjoyed watching it.
Mousasi outscored Belfort with strikes in the first, and proceeded to finish the legend in the second. During the post-fight, FOX Sports 1 show, the UFC President had this to say about Mousasi, who has now won three straight (quote via FOX Sports 1 press release):
“I’ve been a Mousasi fan for a long time. He was fired up after the fight and yelling at me,” White said about Mousasi, who at one juncture during last night’s bout, wagged his finger at Belfort. “You don’t get much emotion out of him, so to get some is great. For Vitor, it wasn’t his night tonight. We’ll see what’s next.”
Leading up to UFC 204, Mousasi was ranked #9 in the 185 division, while Belfort was #5.
UFC 204 took place in Manchester, England.
