As a result of his short notice, and quick win over Luke Rockhold, it sounds like eight week training camps may be a thing of the past for Michael Bisping.

Bisping stepped up on short notice this past June to face Rockhold at UFC 199, after Chris Weidman went down with an injury. The British star proceeded to knock Rockhold out in the opening round, and secure the middleweight title.

On Saturday, Bisping will take on Dan Henderson at UFC 204, which will take place in Manchester, England. The champion appeared on “UFC Tonight” recently, and while doing so, Bisping reported the following about his training camp (quote via FOX Sports 1 press release):

“I learned from the fight with Rockhold. I don’t need eight weeks. I trained for a few weeks, then I filmed a movie, then I trained for three weeks at home and I feel fantastic.”

And in terms of a prediction, Bisping had this to say:

“I’m going to make a mess out of him in the first round. I’ll wait until he slows down in the second and I put the volume up, and the third he’s going to be predictable, I’m going to see those punches coming from a mile away, and that’s when I’ll finish him.”

Henderson and Bisping fought in 2009, and the latter was knocked out in the second round.
