Conor McGregor has made it a habit to make bold and brash statements leading up to fights, and that hasn’t changed as UFC 205 nears.

The featherweight champion will challenge lightweight champ Eddie Alvarez on Saturday night, who will be defending the belt for the first time, since he defeated Rafael dos Anjos this summer to win the crown. Although Alvarez is one of the more accomplished lightweights in MMA history, McGregor has repeatedly stated he expects to dominate the former Bellator champ.

Case in point, during the latest “UFC Tonight“, McGregor had this to say about the November 12th bout (quote via FOX Sports 1 press release):

“I’m expecting him to come out tough, trying to make it a dirty. I’m too clean. I’m too smooth and devastating. I can hit you from any angle. I’m confident. I hope he brings it. I’ll butcher him. I’m ready. If he leaves a limb or a neck, I’ll grab that, too.”

McGregor will be fighting for the first time since August, when he decisioned Nate Diaz in a welterweight bout.

UFC 205 will be hosted by Madison Square Garden in New York City.
