Following UFC 205, Dana White reported that the November 12th card had set a new pay-per-view record for the promotion, but it looks like that may not be the case after all.

After the historic event, White reported that the card had broke “all the records”, including the PPV record for the promotion. But, according to a recent report from MMA Junkie.com, a press release from the UFC says Saturday’s event was “one of the most viewed PPV” cards in the promotion’s history. It did not say the card set a new PPV record for the company.

UFC 205 did set several records for the company, however, some of which include a live gate record of 17.7 million, a domestic attendance record of 20,427, and the preliminary card was the most watch in Fox Sports 1 history for people aged 18-49.

Last weekend’s card was headlined by a lightweight fight between Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez. McGregor stopped Alvarez in the second round to become lightweight champion.
