UFC 205 has lost a pivotal middleweight fight just a few days out from the card, as Rashad Evans will no longer compete due to a medical issue.

Evans was scheduled to fight Tim Kennedy at the November 12th card. But on Tuesday, it was reported that the New York Commission has pulled the former light-heavyweight champ following a pre-fight MRI he took.

Evans has told MMA Fighting.com the commission informed him the test revealed “irregular findings”, but that since then, he’s undergone additional testing which indicates he’s “healthy”. Evans, however, declined to disclose any details regarding the medical issue.

The 37 year-old Evans would have been competing for the first time since April, when he was KO’d by Glover Teixeria.
