Tyron Woodley secured the UFC’s 170 title in July by taking out Robbie Lawler, but the new champ says he won’t celebrate the accomplishment, until he defeats Stephen Thompson.

Woodley knocked out Lawler in the opening round of their UFC 201 scrap, who is one of the champ’s teammates at American Top Team. Up next, Woodley will face Thompson at UFC 205 on November 12th.

Recently the powerful wrestler had this to say about his championship win (photo via UFC.com):

“No, I have not been able to enjoy it, but after this fight I will,” Woodley said. “I can celebrate and I can feel happy about it. Robbie, it was a little tough to celebrate after a victory. I wanted to be respectful to a friend and a teammate, and I couldn’t really enjoy that moment as I will this one.”

Thompson, meanwhile, is comnig off a decision over Rory MacDonald in June. UFC 205 will be hosted by Madison Square Garden in New York City.
