Many believe Dominick Cruz is the greatest bantamweight MMA has known, but Cody Garbrandt says the champion hasn’t improved his skills in years.

Garbrandt (10-0) has been booked for a title fight with the renowned fighter on December 30th, after scoring five straight fights since he joined the UFC. Recently “No Love” appeared on “The MMA Hour”, and while discussing Cruz (22-1), here is some of what he had to say (quote via MMA Mania):

“I have very good movement, good measuring and good accuracy, good pressure. He’s not the same fighter he was. He’s slowing down, he has two busted knees and his hands are all busted up. He’s an old man in there. I think he’s going to have a good maybe three minutes of that movement and I will figure him out. My trainers and training partners have prepped me well for his movements. He uses the same movements as he has in the past five, six years. He hasn’t changed and he hasn’t evolved as a fighter and I am looking forward to dissecting him and dethroning him.”

Cruz is coming off a decision win over Garbrandt’s mentor and teammate, Urijah Faber, this past June.

UFC 207 will take place December 30th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
