As was recently reported would likely be the case, the UFC has announced that Cody Garbrandt will fight bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz on December 30th.

The fight will co-headline UFC 207, which will be hosted by the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Garbrandt (10-0) has gone 5-0 to date in the UFC, and most recently quickly stopped Takeya Mizugaki. The Team Alpha Male fighter is ranked #6 at 135.

Cruz (22-1) is coming off a decision win over Garbrandt’s teammate and friend, Urijah Faber. The decorated fighter reclaimed the 135 title in January by defeating TJ Dillashaw.

UFC 207 will be headlined by a bout between bantamweight champ Amanda Nunes and former champ, Ronda Rousey.
