Although Anderson Silva has lost four of his last five fights, Miesha Tate believes the legendary fighter and former middleweight champ still remains a threat.

The 41 year-old Silva is returning to action tonight at UFC 208, as he’ll take on fellow contender, Derek Brunson. The bout will mark the first time Silva has fought, since he lost via decision to light-heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier last July.

Recently Tate was asked to weigh-in on Silva’s chances against Brunson tonight, while appearing on “UFC Tonight“. Here is some of what the retired fighter had to say (quote via FOX Sports press release):

“I believe Anderson Silva still has got it. He still has some of the best head movement in the game. I’m not a fan of someone putting their back against the cage, but in this spot I like it because there’s less real estate for the wrestler and his counter wrestling is phenomenal. He can utilize his counter striking.”

Brunson was stopped by Robert Whittaker in his last outing, which snapped his five fight winning streak. UFC 208 will take place in Brooklyn, New York.
