Khabib Nurmagomedov is calling for a bout with Georges St-Pierre, after winning the UFC’s lightweight title, but he also understands he’s on a collision course with Conor McGregor.

Nurmagomedov won the 155 title last night by working his way to a clear cut, decision win over Al Iaquinta. Since McGregor hasn’t defended the lightweight title he won back in 2016, the promotion officially stripped the Irish star of the belt last night.

Following the event, which went down after McGregor’s highly publicized, vandalism incident that targeted Nurmagomedov Thursday, the latter said this (quote via MMA Junkie):

“We have to finish this beef, chicken or something like this,” Nurmagomedov said about McGregor. “He have to stop eating Burger Kings. You want to fight? Come. I told you guys, I’m going to make him humble. I’m going to change his game. Now only one champion.

“I hope he’s going to fight – we have to fight,” Nurmagomedov said. “Like make World Tour. Everywhere, like Tokyo, Moscow, Dublin, Los Angeles, Rio. Big world tour, promote this fight and fight end of year, biggest arena in the world. Madison Square Garden. … I’m here. He want to become lightweight champion? He have to fight with me. No more all these fake champions.

“You guys remember when he put tweet, ‘Beg me.’ Please beg me.”

With Saturday’s win, Nurmagomedov extended his overall record to 26-0.
