Khabib Nurmagomedov

Khabib Nurmagomedov has wished Tony Ferguson well, following a knee injury that’s forced the latter to withdraw from UFC 223, but he’s also told “El Cucuy” to “watch your mouth”.

On Sunday it was announced that due to the aforementioned injury, Max Holloway is replacing Ferguson in the headlining bout with Nurmagomedov. Leading up to the April 7th card, Ferguson repeatedly criticized Nurmagomedov for his withdrawal from UFC 209 last year. The two were supposed to fight in March, 2017, but Nurmagomedov had to pull out after running into medical issues while cutting weight.

Since the news of Ferguson’s withdrawal, Nurmagomedov directed the following comments at the renowned fighter:

Tony heal up man. Just want to advise you, don’t talk too much anymore. Lot of thoughts in my head right now, but I don’t want to become like you.
