The UFC has confirmed that BJ Penn will make his Octagon return on October 15th, and will take on featherweight contender, Ricardo Lamas. The fight will headline UFC Fight Night 97, which will take place at the at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.

The legendary Penn (16-10-2) was expected to return to action earlier this year. But the former lightweight and welterweight champ was suspended for six months, as a result of violating USADA’s IV policies. Penn hasn’t fought since 2014 when he was stopped by Frankie Edgar.

Lamas (16-5) is coming off a decision loss to Max Holloway in June, after decisioning Diego Sanchez last November.

No other bouts have been announced yet for the upcoming event in Manila.
