UFC Announces Mirko “Cro Cop” vs. Gabriel Gonzaga II to Headline First Poland Card

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced it’s heading to Poland for its first event in April, and one of Europe’s greatest fighters ever, will headline the card.
Not long after the promotion confirmed that Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic is returning to the UFC, the company has announced that he’ll fight Gabriel Gonzaga on April 11th. The Fight Night card will be hosted by the Krakow Arena.
“Cro Cop” and Gonzaga fought once before in 2007, and the latter shocked the world by knocking out Filipovic with a pounding head kick. The memorable finish is still featured in highlight reels to this day.
More recently, however, “Cro Cop” (30-11-2) has gone 3-1, after he was released by the UFC in 2011 following a three fight losing skid.
Gonzaga (16-9) is looking to rebound from consecutive losses to Stipe Miocic and Matt Mitrone, after scoring KO wins over Dave Herman and Shawn Jordan.
In addition, UFC FN 64 will feature Polish light-heavyweight Jan Blachowicz (18-3), who will take on Jimi Manuwa (14-1).
Blachowicz is coming off a successful UFC debut in October, when he stopped Ilir Latifi in the opening round. Manuwa, on the other hand, hasn’t fought since last March when he was TKO’d by Alexander Gustafsson.
