UFC Announces Partnership With Japan’s SHOOTO

The Ultimate Fighting Championship will be partnering with one of MMA’s oldest organizations, as the promotion and SHOOTO are joining forces for a new tournament and television show.
The UFC has announced that it has signed a new, developmental deal with Japan’s SHOOTO, which will feature a television program like “The Ultimate Fighter.” The show will include competitors from the bantamweight and featherweight divisions, and the winners of the competition will receive UFC contracts.
The program will be aired on Japanese television, however, no details regarding a broadcaster were included.
More details regarding the program will be announced when the UFC returns to Japan on September 21st for a Fight Night card.
