Ronda Rousey appeared on “The View” on Monday, and the UFC Bantamweight Champion reportedly weighed in on the differences between men and women, in terms of their instinct to fight.

Rousey, who is scheduled to fight Bethe Correia on August 1st at UFC 190, offered this take on the subject (quotes from FOX Sports.com):

“The women are emotional in a way.  The instinct to fight in a woman is different,” said Rousey, after arguing that often women don’t resolve their issues after fighting, while men frequently do.

“When women fight, we’re programmed to fight to like protect our children,” Rousey said.  “Men fight a lot for pride or status, but women, their instinct to fight, it’s for survival and protection of their children.”

The crossover star is coming off a 14 second, submission win over Cat Zingano last month, while Correia hasn’t fought since last August when she stopped Shayna Baszler.

When asked about Correia, the 28 year-old Rousey reportedly relayed the following “I got 99 problems but a Bethe ain’t one.”

UFC 190 will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
