UFC Confirms Travis Browne and Antonio Silva Headlining October 5th UFC on FX

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has confirmed that a previously reported bout between Travis Browne and Antonio Silva will headline it’s October 5th, UFC on FX card in Minneapolis.

The fast rising Browne (13-0) has won won three straight fights since he drew with Cheick Kongo in October, 2010, while Silva (16-4) is coming off back-to-back stoppages losses to Daniel Cormier and Cain Velasquez.

Prior to the defeats Silva had won three fights in a row, which included a stoppage win over former PRIDE champ Fedor Emelianenko.

Other bouts scheduled for the October 5th card include flyweight John Dodson vs. Jussier Formiga, heavyweight Matt Mitrione vs. Rob Broughton and welterweight Josh Neer vs. Justin Edwards.

The UFC on FX event will be hosted by the Target Center and will be broadcast live on FX.
