UFC: Dana White Weighs-In on Brock Lesnar Returning to Octagon, “He Knows my Number”

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar

As rumors continue to swirl, as to whether Brock Lesnar might return to the UFC, the promotion’s president has weighed in on the speculation regarding the former champ.

Recently there have been reports that Lesnar’s contract with World Wrestling Entertainment could be coming to an end, and as a result, there’s been talk as to whether the heavyweight would consider another run in the UFC.

The 37 year-old Lesnar hasn’t fought since 2011, when he was stopped by Alistair Overeem at UFC 141. At the time, the decorated wrestler hadn’t fought in over a year, due to a battle with diverticulitis.

In the latest edition of White’s weekly interview with UFC.com, the Zuffa exec had this to say about Lesnar’s potential return:

“I have a great relationship with Brock, we talk all the time,” White said. “I don’t know, we’ll see. If he wants to fight, he knows my number.”

“It’s pretty amazing what he did and accomplished here while having diverticulitis,” White added. “It would be interesting to see a 100 percent healthy Brock Lesnar compete.”

Lesnar joined the UFC in 2008, and after he was submitted by Frank Mir, he proceeded to win four straight fights, secure the heavyweight title and avenge his loss to Mir.

In 2010, Lesnar had his reign ended by Cain Velasquez, who stopped him in the first round at UFC 121.
