UFC FN 102 has lost a pivotal bantamweight fight, as according to a report, Aljamain Sterling has been forced to withdraw due to injury.

Sterling was scheduled to fight fellow contender Raphael Assuncao at the December 9th event, which will take place in Albany, New York. MMA Junkie.com is reporting, however, that the UFC has confirmed Sterling has sustained an injury. No details regarding the injury were disclosed.

The UFC is reportedly attempting to find a replacement opponent for Assuncao, but due to the short notice, the promotion is looking for a fighter who is currently authorized to fight in the U.S.

Sterling (12-1) hasn’t fought since May when he lost via split decision to Bryan Caraway.
