Neil Seery’s reporting he feels so good heading into his bout this weekend with Alexandre Pantoja, he’s disappointed that the fight will be the final one of his lengthy career.

Seery (16-12) will battle Pantoja (17-2) at UFC Fight Night 113 this Sunday in Glasgow, Scotland, in what the 37 year-old has said will mark the last time he competes. Recently Seery spoke to UFC.com about this weekend’s fight, and the Irish vet had this to say:

“I’m feeling really good at the minute,” Seery said. “I’m actually disappointed that I made my decision to walk away. I’m really gonna miss the buzz around fighting, but every man’s time comes, every fighter’s time comes, and I think it’s the right time now to bow out.”

“I was in bed the other night thinking, ‘What am I going to do, how am I going to fill this void, what am I going to do to replace this?’ There’s nothing that will replace that feeling, so I’m just gonna have to deal with it and find something else.”

The flyweight is coming off a decision loss to Kyoji Horiguchi in May, 2016, and has gone 3-2 in his final five fights.
