Kamaru Usman has yet to crack the top five of the UFC’s welterweight rankings, but the rising fighter believes he’s already the most dangerous 170’er in the sport.

Usman is booked to fight Emil Meek tonight at UFC Fight Night 124, which will take place in St. Louis. If Usman wins, he will move his UFC record to 7-0.

Recently the Nigerian born fighter was featured in a story at UFC.com, and in it, Usman was quoted saying this:

“I’ve called myself a hybrid and I believe that I’m a hybrid of the sport now where I’m not just a specialist in one thing; I can do everything pretty well. One of the biggest things – and I feel like people are forgetting because I chose to go in and knock a guy out – is that I’m not just a guy that can knock you out; I’m someone that can dominate you from start to finish.

“My wrestling is unmatched. My grappling is unmatched and my striking is unmatched as well when you put all those things together. I believe I’m the most well rounded guy in the world, which is why I’m the most dangerous guy in the world.”

Usman (11-1) is coming off a knockout win over Sergio Moraes in September. Meek (9-2-1), meanwhile, earned a decision win over Jordan Mein in his last bout, which took place in December, 2016.
