Although Uriah Hall has demonstrated in multiple bouts over the years that he’s a fearsome striker, the middleweight admits he didn’t really embrace that fact, until his last fight.

Hall took on Krzysztof Jotko at UFC FN 116 in September, and after taking several, hard shots in the opening round, he finish the latter in round two with strikes. Recently Hall spoke with UFC.com in advance of his fight this Sunday with Vitor Belfort, and while doing so, the TUF vet said this about his skills:

“For years I haven’t embraced that I’m a bad ass m*****f*****,”

“The moment I embraced it, something happened. I zoned in, I had clear vision and everything made sense and I knocked him out.

“I didn’t believe it,” Hall said, while discussing his reputation as a dangerous finisher. “Someone can tell you, ‘You’re this,’ but I didn’t see it. If you don’t see it for yourself, it’s almost like it doesn’t make sense and that’s hard to say in the MMA world because you have to be a bad ass.”

The win over Jotko snapped a three fight losing skid for Hall, and left his overall record at 13-8. UFC FN 124 will take place on January 14th at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
