As Sage Northcutt gets ready to fight Thibault Gouti this Sunday at UFC Fight Night 126, the lightweight’s reporting he’s more prepared than ever, due to his move to Team Alpha Male and being able to focus on fighting.

The 21 year-old had been juggling his college studies when he first joined the UFC, but after a loss to Mickey Gall in 2016, Northcutt decided to make training his full time priority. In addition, Northcutt also decided to relocate to Sacramento, California, so he could train with the renowned, Team Alpha Male.

In a recent story at UFC.com, Northcutt had this to say about the changes he’s made:

“I think before, in my previous fights, I had so much on my plate with school and studying to be an engineer, not getting to train at an actual camp and train with an actual team because of being at school, everything that went on interfered with me fighting for the UFC and being the best I could be,” said Northcutt.

“Now I’ve got that stuff out of the way, I’m focused and I’m ready to go out there and perform, make myself the best I can be and be the UFC champion in the future.”

UFC FN 126 will be hosted by the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas, February 18th.
