Lyoto Machida was unable to add another stoppage win to his resume tonight at UFC Fight Night 36, but his vaunted striking skills earned him one more victory. The decorated middleweight out struck the resilient Gegard Mousasi throughout five rounds with a variety of techniques, and picked up the unanimous decision win.

After the bout, Machida was asked whether he believed a title shot could be waiting, as a result of the victory. The former light-heavyweight champ said he hopes so but that it’s up to the UFC.
