Alexander Gustafsson had a big day at UFC Fight Night 37, as not only did he take a step further to a rematch with Jon Jones, but the light-heavyweight collected two fight night bonuses.

Gustafsson was awarded “Performance of the Night” and $50K for his second round, stoppage win over Jimi Manuwa, which came via a crushing knee and punches. In addition, Gustafsson and Manuwa earned “Fight of the Night” honors for their main event tilt, which also came with a $50,000 award.

The other “Performance of the Night” went to rising welterweight Gunnar Nelson, who after pounding Omari Akhmedov with elbows from above, tapped him out with a nicely timed, guillotine choke.

Heading into UFC FN 37 Cyrille Diabate said it would be his last bout, and following his submission loss to Ilir Latifi, the noted striker confirmed that decision. After the card the 40 year-old fighter stated“This is my last fight, I’ve been fighting for 22 years, I’ve had a fantastic career and I enjoyed myself.”

Diabate retires with a record of 19-10-1.

UFC FN 37 was hosted by the O2 Arena in London, England.
