UFC FN 40: Albert Tumenov vs. Anthony Lapsley Verbally Agreed To
By FCF Staff
The line-up for UFC Fight Night 40 is likely complete, as the promotion has announced that Albert Tumenov and Anthony Lapsley have verbally agreed to fight on the May 10th card. The welterweight bout will become the 13th scrap that has been booked for the Cincinnati bound event.
Tumenov (12-2) is coming off a split decision loss to Ildemar Alcantara at UFC FN 36 in February, which marked his Octagon debut. Prior to the defeat the Russian fighter had won eight straight.
Lapsley (23-6), meanwhile, lost by unanimous decision to Jason High in his last outing, which took place at UFC 167 in November. The American vet had won five fights in a row prior to the loss.
UFC FN 40 will be hosted by the U.S. Bank Arena and will feature Matt Brown taking on Erick Silva in the main event.
