UFC FN 41: Gegard Mousasi Quickly Takes Out Mark Munoz

Gegard Mousasi made a compelling case today that he belongs in the UFC’s top ten middleweight rankings, as the former Strikeforce champ stormed through Mark Munoz at UFC Fight Night 41.

From the opening moments of the bout, Mousasi was able to negate the takedowns attempts of Munoz, and punished the wrestler with punches and elbows. As the fight approached the four minute mark, Mousasi transitioned to Munoz’s back, and sunk in a fight ending, rear-naked-choke.

With his victory over the #7th ranked Munoz, the #11 positioned Mousasi improved his record to 34-4-2. Munoz’s dropped to 13-5.
