UFC FN 44: Ricardo Lamas to Face Hacran Dias
By FCF Staff
After failing to end the reign of featherweight champ Jose Aldo in February, Ricardo Lamas has his next assignment, and it’s Brazil’s Hacran Dias. The UFC has announced that the Chicago fighter will take on Dias, June 28th in San Antonio, Texas.
Lamas (13-3) secured a title shot at UFC 169 by winning four straight bouts, which included wins over Erik Koch, Hatsu Hioki, Cub Swanson and Matt Grice. Aldo defeated Lamas in February, however, by unanimous decision.
Dias (21-2-1), meanwhile, hasn’t fought since last May, when he lost by UD to Nik Lentz. Prior to the defeat the Nova Uniao fighter had won nine straight.
UFC FN 44 will be headlined by a featherweight bout between Cub Swanson and Jeremy Stephens.
The card will be hosted by San Antonio’s AT&T Center.
