UFC Fight Night 49 has picked up two intriguing bouts, as Demian Maia will face Mike Pyle, and Thales Leites has verbally agreed to battle Francis Carmont.

The August 23rd card will be hosted by the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and will feature Benson Henderson taking on Rafael dos Anjos in the headliner. The aforementioned fights were announced at UFC.com.

Maia (19-6) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Alexander Yakoviev, after dropping consecutive bouts to Rory MacDonald and Jake Shields. The jiu-jitsu guru is currently ranked #8 in the UFC welterweight division.

Pyle (26-9-1) scored a stoppage win over TJ Waldburger in his last outing, after he was KO’d by Matt Brown last August. The well rounded vet is ranked #12 at 170.

Leites (23-4) has won three straight fights since returning to the UFC, and stopped Trevor Smith in his last outing. The former #1 contender is currently ranked #15 at 185.

Carmont (22-9) will be looking to rebound from back-to-back, decision losses to “Jacare” Souza and CB Dollaway. The Tristar fighter is positioned at #12 in the UFC middleweight division.
