Lightweight Joe Lauzon added yet another bonus to his resume at UFC Fight Night 50, and in doing, surpassed Anderson Silva to become the promotion’s leader in that respect.

Lauzon and opponent Michael Chiesa picked up “Fight of the Night” honors, and an extra $50,000 each, for their entertaining scrap. Lauzon emerged with the victory, as Chiesa wasn’t allowed to continue after he was cut wide open by a knee to the head in round two.

The “Performance of the Night” awards went to middleweight “Jacare” Souza and heavyweight Ben Rothwell.

Souza secured the award and $50 grand by forcing fellow contender Gegard Mousasi to tap with a beautifully timed, guillotine choke in round three.

Rothwell, meanwhile, earned the bonus by flooring Alistair Overeem in the opening round and finishing the bout with follow up shots.

UFC FN 50 was hosted by Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut.
