Dennis Siver is set to compete for the first time in 2014, as the featherweight has been booked to fight Robert Whiteford on October 4th.

The tilt will be part of UFC Fight Night 53, which will be hosted by Stockholm, Sweden’s Ericsson Globe.

Siver (21-9) will be fighting for the first time since he faced Manny Gamburyan at UFC 168 in December, when he initially won the bout via decision. The veteran tested positive for human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) following the event, however, and was suspended for nine months.

The German fighter is 2-2, with 1 no contest, in his last 5 bouts.

Whiteford (11-2) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Daniel Pineda at UFC 171 in March, after being choked out by Jim Hettes last October. The Scottish featherweight is 4-1 in his last 5 scraps.

Some of the other bouts that have been confirmed for UFC FN 53 include Amir Sadollah vs. Nico Musoke, Niklas Backstrom vs. Mike Wilkinson and Ernest Chavez vs. Zubaira Tukhugov.
