Jerrod Sanders could look like a very different fighter for his next bout, as the UFC has announced that he’s dropping from lightweight to bantamweight to face Pedro Munhoz.

The bout will be part of UFC Fight Night 54, which will go down in Halifax, Nova Scotia on October 4th.

Sanders (14-2) will make the drop to 135, after injuring his knee and losing by TKO to Yosdenis Cedeno at UFC FN 45 last month. Prior to that the 33 year-old fighter had won 12 straight bouts.

Munhoz (11-1) is coming off a stoppage win over Matt Hobar at the TUF Brazil III Finale in May, after he was decisioned by Raphael Assuncao in February. The 27 year-old had won ten in a row before the loss.

UFC FN 54 will be headlined by a welterweight bout between Rory MacDonald and Tarec Saffiedine.
