UFC Fight Night 55 has received its co-mainevent approximately one month away from the card, as the UFC has announced that Ross Pearson will face lightweight Al Iaquinta.

The upcoming event will be hosted by the Allphones Arena in Sydney, Australia on November 8th, and will feature a middleweight bout between Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold in the headliner.

Iaquinta (9-3-1) recorded a third round, stoppage win over Rodrigo Damm in his last outing, which took place at a UFC Fight Night card in September. The victory returned the American to the winner’s circle, as he was choked out by Mitch Clarke at UFC 173 in May.

Pearson (16-7), meanwhile, took out Gray Maynard with strikes in the second round at a Fight Night card in August, after losing a controversial, split decision to Diego Sanchez in June. The British fighter is 3-1, with 1 no contest, in his last 5 scraps.

Some of the other bouts that are scheduled for UFC FN 55 include Robert Whittaker vs. Clint Hester, Daniel Omielanczuk vs. Soa Palelei, and Jake Matthews vs. Vagner Rocha.
