After his six fight win streak was halted by Benson Henderson last summer, Rustam Khabilov plans to get back on track at UFC Fight Night 61, and continue his climb up the lightweight rankings.

The #14th ranked fighter will take on the dangerous Adriano Martins at the event, who is coming off a KO win over Juan Manuel Puig.

Khabilov recently spoke to UFC.com about tonight’s bout, and while discussing his plans for 2015, the “Tiger” relayed:

“I’m not going to stop,” Khabilov said. “I’m going straight for the belt. Right now, I need to keep my focus on this next fight. Yes, I did lose my last fight against Henderson. I won some rounds, but I lost on the ground because I got tired. I went back to the gym and I trained harder to make myself better and I’m going after the belt.”

The Sambo master and Gaidojutsu black belt also offered this interesting pledge, regarding suplexes:

“In any fight at any moment, if I can get the suplex I will show you guys what I can do,” Khabilov said. “I want to put on a show and the suplex makes fans excited.”

UFC FN 61 will be hosted by Porto Alegre, Brazil.
