The UFC announced yesterday that TJ Waldburger will no longer fight tonight, by relaying he was “ill”, and now the welterweight has provided more details regarding his withdrawal.

Waldburger was scheduled to fight Wendell Oliveira at UFC Fight Night 61, but according to the fighter, he passed out shortly before the weigh-ins and hit his head. Waldburger provided the following information via Sqor:

Hey guys just wanted to let u know I’m feeling better & just taking it slow. It was a freak dill, I felt fine & 1 of the easiest cuts so far but I passed out then bust my face into the mirror corner of the elevator the Doc & Burt didn’t think it was wise to continue. It is what it is & u know I felt great & trained harder than ever, I was super excited to get it on but GOD is in control. Also the CT scan looked good so I’ll be ready ASAP

The 26 year-old is coming off consecutive, stoppage losses to Adlan Amagov and Mike Pyle.

UFC FN 61 will take place in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and in the main event, Frank Mir will battle “Bigfoot” Silva.
