Gabriel Gonzaga earned “Fight of the Night” honors yesterday at UFC Fight Night 64, but the veteran heavyweight is heading home worse for wear, following his memorable loss to Mirko “Cro Cop”.

Gonzaga appeared to be headed to victory after two rounds, as the well rounded fighter was able to take “Cro Cop” down and control the fight from there. In round three, however, “Cro Cop” staggered him with elbows, and then opened up a massive cut with several more, after Gonzaga went to the mat. The bout was stopped soon after.

Following the fight, the 35 year-old Gonzaga posted the following pic and comment on Instagram:
