Glover Teixeira took some heavy shots in the opening round of his main event scrap with Ovince Saint Preux, but the light-heavyweight contender stormed back to score an impressive win at UFC Fight Night 73.

In the opening round, Saint Preux punished Teixeira to the body with a hard kick, and had the latter in trouble with follow up punches. Teixeira weathered the storm, however, and put his grappling game in motion.

After taking OSP down on several occasions, Teixeira finally put the latter to sleep with a rear-naked-choke in round three. The victory returned Teixeira to the win column, after dropping consecutive bouts to Jon Jones and Phil Davis.
