Following Max Holloway’s victory over Charles Oliveira at UFC Fight Night 74, the featherweight is calling for a bout with fellow contender, Frankie Edgar.

Holloway recorded a quick, TKO win on Sunday, however, the bout ended due to unfortunate circumstances. After Oliveira attempted a takedown not long into the first round, he relayed he couldn’t continue while pointing to his shoulder and neck.

After the bout, which was Holloway’s seventh straight victory, the featherweight told the UFC.com the following:

“I think Frankie [does] deserve a shot [at the title],” Holloway said. “But if he isn’t going to fight for the title soon, then – I don’t know what the UFC wants to do, but let’s go to UFC Hawaii. Dana White, Sean Shelby make it happen. Me and Frankie Edgar, I guarantee we can sell it out down there.”

Edgar is currently ranked #2 in the division and isn’t booked for a bout. The former lightweight champ has said that he wants to fight again, rather than wait for the winner of the December 12th, Jose Aldo – Conor McGregor fight.

Heading into UFC FN 74, which took place in Saskataoon, Holloway was ranked #5.
