Olivier Aubin-Mercier was always scheduled to compete at UFC Fight Night 74, and now the rising lightweight has an opponent. The UFC has announced that Aubin-Mercier will take on Chris Wade at the August 23rd event, which will take place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Aubin-Mercier (6-1) is coming off a submission win over David Michaud in April, after the Judo black belt tapped out Jake Lindsey in October. OAM competed in the Canada vs. Australia TUF Nations season last year, and lost by split decision to Chad Laprise in the April finals.

Wade (10-1), meanwhile, is riding a five fight winning streak and is coming off a decision win over Christos Giagos last month.The experienced wrestler hasn’t lost since 2013, when he was decisioned by Ozzy Dugulubgov, while fighting for WSOF.

UFC FN 74 will be headlined by a featherweight fight between contenders Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway.
