Although Cathal Pendred has gone 4-1 thus far in the UFC, the Irish welterweight believes he hasn’t shown what he’s capable of in the Octagon.

Pendred (17-3-1) is scheduled to fight Tom Breese this Saturday at UFC Fight Night 76, which will take place in “The Punisher’s” home city of Dublin. Recently the 28 year-old spoke to UFC.com about the fight, and his run with the promotion, and relayed the following:

“I have not shown my potential, so I think my UFC career to date, by my own high standards, has been fairly disappointing even though I’ve won four out of five fights,” Pendred said. “I’m not doing as well as I would like.

“I’m a competitor – I demand the best out of myself and I don’t feel I’ve been getting the best out of myself, so I’m content, but wanting a lot more from myself and for my career; that’s basically how I would sum it up.”

Since arriving in the UFC last year, Pendred has defeated Mike King, Gasan Umalatov, Sean Spencer and Augusto Montano. In July, however, Pendred’s winning streak came to an end, as John Howard defeated him by split decision.

Breese (8-0) made his UFC debut in May, and the British fighter stopped Luiz Jorge Dutra Jr.

UFC FN 76 will be hosted by the 3 Arena in Dublin.
